Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding…

SLOW TO SPEAK

Lord, grant me the wisdom to be mindful of my actions, so that I speak with kindness and grace. Help me to gently guard my words, as it were with a bridle, Psalm 39:1, ensuring that I take my time before sharing my thoughts. May I reflect deeply on my intentions and the impact they may have on others, seeking to encourage by speaking Your truth in love. Let my tongue be Your instrument and instill in me the patience to listen attentively before responding. Ecclesiastes 5:2 Guide my heart to a place of understanding, as I strive to communicate in ways that honor You and edify others.

Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth, keep the door of my lips, Psalm 141:3 so that I may speak words of grace and peace, uplifting those around me and fostering an atmosphere where Your love and truth thrive. Help me to remember that my words carry power, and that they can inspire hope or ignite discord; grant me the wisdom to choose my expressions carefully. Let my conversations reflect grace, filled with compassion and patience, as I strive to mirror Your love in every interaction. James 3:2

Let my speech always radiate with kindness, and be seasoned with salt, Colossians 4:6, and help me draw from the well of compassion to share only relevant words. Matthew 12:35 May my mouth speak of wisdom, and my tongue resonate with joy and fairness; Psalm 37:30 and may Your word continually flow from my lips, from the hearts of your people, and from our children for generations to come. Isaiah 59:21

Empower me to speak with wisdom at all times, and may the law of kindness reside in my words. Proverbs 31:26 Grant me the discernment to understand what is pleasing to You, Proverbs 10:32 so that my speech may be as valuable as fine silver, and my words may nurture many. Proverbs 10:20-21
