The doctrine of the Trinity matters for worship. Prayer, worship, and communion are Trinitarian acts. We pray to the Father in the name of the Son by the power of the Spirit. A time is coming, Jesus told the woman at the well, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth (John 4:23).
